About
What is Southpoint Access?
It’s an experimental local news website project undertaken by Wes Platt, a resident of the Southpoint/Hope Valley region of Durham and a professional journalist who previously worked for The Herald-Sun after a career at The St. Petersburg Times.
The site’s mission is to provide ultra-local community news coverage on the neighborhood level, from Hope Valley Ridge to Woodcroft to Parkwood and Fairfield.
