Well, families get a reprieve from remote learning on Thursday. Instead, Durham Public Schools will open on a two-hour delay.

In the district's announcement on Wednesday, officials informed families that the delay is "to allow for safer travel conditions in the morning." Before-school programs also are operating on a two-hour delay.

Families with bus riders should check the Edulog Parent Portal app for bus route information.

"Thank you for your understanding as we continue to prioritize the safety of our school community during inclement weather," the DPS statement reads. "We look forward to welcoming our students and staff back to school tomorrow."

Road conditions could necessitate a delay on Friday too. And what about next week? Well, we've got talk of snow on Saturday...
