Building Momentum: A Month-by-Month Fitness Plan for 2025

Kick off 2025 with "Building Momentum," a month-by-month fitness plan designed to help South Durham residents stay active, healthy, and motivated all year long. Each month focuses on a unique theme, from building strength and endurance to enhancing flexibility and mental wellness.

Building Momentum: A Month-by-Month Fitness Plan for 2025
Here's a 12-month fitness plan that neighborhood news guy Wes Platt is going to try. Tag along, if you want!

I'm uneven at best when it comes to keeping up with my fitness goals. Mostly, I seem to get my steps while walking the dog or taking strolls on the American Tobacco Trail - and sometimes running around the track at the downtown YMCA.

But I am father to a couple of kids who like to play, and I want to stay in the best shape possible to keep up with them.

So, I asked my editorial assistant bot in ChatGPT to develop a month-by-month plan. I'm posting it here to keep myself honest and on the record, but also to share with others who might want to follow it themselves as those New Year's resolutions come calling.
