Can Grassroots Movement Boost Mental Health Funding?
North Carolinians struggling with mental health issues also are battling a lack of resources due to poor – or absent – funding to tackle these conditions.
The Faith Health Caucus of the North Carolina Medicare for All Coalition wants to develop remedies for this problem by organizing the faith community to find solutions. To that end, they’re holding a live Zoom webinar on May 28 at 7 p.m. This event is expected to specifically focus on issues affecting adolescents that lead to the school-to-prison pipeline.
What they’ll cover:
- Health inequities in minority communities.
- Adolescent mental healthcare.
- Faith community’s role in healthcare advocacy.
- Affordable drug treatment.
- Community action.
Participants can engage with experts, collaborate, network, and take informed action.
