Charter School Administrators Convicted in Obstruction Case
The charges for the Research Triangle Charter Academy administrators stemmed from an alleged August 2024 assault on a 5-year-old boy by his teacher.
Nicole Ann Scotto, 37, and Melanie Butler Stack, 58, face supervised probation for 12 months after pleading guilty this week to misdemeanor obstruction of justice and failure to report child abuse at Research Triangle Charter Academy, where they worked as administrators.
