Office closures and trash pickup are scheduled for the City of Durham for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 15. Most city offices and non-emergency facilities and operations will be closed.

Officials announced schedule changes for the following areas:

Curbside Solid Waste Collections

The Solid Waste Management Department is closed Jan. 15.

All collection services are delayed by one business day.

Solid Waste Management Department services including garbage, recycling, and yard waste delayed by one business day.

Waste Disposal and Recycling Center, Yard Waste Facility, Household Hazardous Waste Center are all closed.

City Council Meeting

The City Council regular business meeting is rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall.

Parks and Recreation

Administrative office and all facilities closed on Jan. 15.

Downtown Parking

The Park Durham Customer Service Center will be closed Jan. 15.

On city-designated holidays, downtown parking is free in on-street parking spaces, in some city-owned parking garages, and in city-owned surface parking lots.

GoDurham and GoDurham ACCESS

Sunday-level service is available on GoDurham and GoDurham ACCESS routes.

Durham One Call

Durham One Call will be closed on Jan. 15. Residents may submit service requests online or via text or phone, and staff will forward requests to the appropriate department the next business day.
