A Culver’s restaurant is proposed near Stratford Lakes in South Durham, potentially bringing the Wisconsin-born chain’s ButterBurgers and frozen custard to Fayetteville Road.

Durham’s neighborhood-meeting calendar lists the proposal at 4402 Fayetteville Road, under zoning case Z2600035. A virtual neighborhood meeting is scheduled for 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, giving residents an opportunity to learn about the plans and ask questions. The meeting link and applicant materials are available through the city’s neighborhood-meeting page.

For now, this is a proposal, not an opening announcement. Southpoint Access has not confirmed a construction schedule or opening date.

The restaurant is the newest addition to SoDu We Grow, our guide to development proposals across southern Durham County.
