The Durham Public Schools Board of Education will vote Tuesday on employee salary scales that would raise the district’s minimum hourly wage, provide additional local raises for classified employees, and add a monthly supplement for transportation safety assistants.

Salary scales are the meeting’s main action item. Two projects on the consent agenda also directly affect South Durham schools:

  • A $431,125 parking lot and basketball court paving project at Southwest Elementary School
  • A $201,500 contract for the first phase of a mobile classroom village at Lyons Farm Elementary School

The special meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in the board room of the Fuller Building, 511 Cleveland St.
