DPS Cancels Weekend Events and Activities
Severe weather expected in the region this weekend prompted Durham Public Schools to take this step.

It's not clear yet how the impending winter storm will affect next week's in-person learning in Durham Public Schools, but the weather's already putting a stop to DPS activities and events for the weekend.
Southpoint Access is sharing revenue with Rogers-Herr Middle School Music Boosters until March 31.
"Due to severe winter weather expected this weekend, all Durham Public Schools activities and events scheduled for (Saturday and Sunday) are canceled, including all facility rentals," the district announced in a statement on Friday afternoon.
District officials continue to monitor the weather and will assess conditions as they change.
"If there are any school closures or delays, we will share that information as soon as possible through our usual communication channels," the statement read.
