DPS Superintendent Earns Contract Extension
During the past school year, 90% of DPS schools have seen improved academic performance, with more than half of the district's schools earning an A, B, or C grade.
The Durham Public Schools Board of Education on Thursday voted unanimously to extend Superintendent Dr. Anthony Lewis's contract by one year - to June 30, 2029 - as a sign of confidence in his leadership ability.
