• Social Stitchers at the Library. Adults. Join other needle and fiber art crafters to work on current projects, socialize, and share tips. Open to all skill and experience levels. • Durham Holiday Parade. All ages. No registration required. See the city’s annual holiday parade, featuring floats, hometown bands, drill teams, schools, community groups and more making their way down Main Street. 10 a.m. to noon. (Durham Parks and Recreation)
• Toy Swap at Southwest. Got toys that your little one doesn’t love anymore? Come out for a toy swap in the Southwest Meeting Room at Southwest Regional Library at 3605 Shannon Rd. from 2 to 3 p.m. Bring gently used, wiped-down toys geared toward children 7 and younger.

NOTE: Southwest Regional Library’s children and teens programs will be on break Dec. 16-Jan. 1.
