Durham Bulls Hosting Book Harvest Block Party

On July 13, from 1 to 4 p.m., Book Harvest holds its annual summer block party at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Blackwell Street downtown.

The event kicks off National Summer Learning Week with free books, activities, and music. Parking and admission are free. It features special guest Happy Dan the Magic Man.

The first 300 attendees get a voucher for concessions. The event will be covered against inclement weather.

Proceeds support the Durham Promise Scholarship Fund, which benefits at least one senior at each DPS high school.
