Durham Gets Medieval This Weekend

Alcohol and ancient armaments mix it up Saturday at Mystic Farm & Distillery in partnership with Honeygirl Meadery.

The Mystic Medieval Knights event runs 4 to 9 p.m. at the distillery at 1413 Stallings Rd. Participants are encouraged to “dress accordingly in their finest chain-mail or chemise for a 16th Century vibe.” Representatives from The Sword Conservatory will be on hand to demonstrate and teach swordfighting techniques.

Participants must be 21 to attend. Entry tickets cost $10 and include a cocktail. The swordfighting classes at 4:30 and 6 p.m. cost about $30. Those tickets are limited.
