Durham Lights Up Tobacco Tower on Wednesday

The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m., with 2,000 free light wands available on a first-come, first-served basis. Admission is free, but parking costs $10 per vehicle (credit card only).

Entertainment includes performances by:

• Barriskill Dance Theater.
• Bull Town Strutters.
• Durham Children’s Choir.
• Elevate.
• Empower Dance Group.

The Durham Public Schools Foundation provided 500 luminarias for the event.
