Durham Mayor Plans Small-Business Town Hall

Business owners can gain resources and insights to help their ventures grow at Durham Leveling Up: Scaling Your Business Through Opportunity and Collaboration, a free town hall hosted by Mayor Leonardo Williams.

The event will be held at North Carolina Central University’s new School of Business, 829 E. Lawson St., on Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Organized by the City of Durham’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development, the event aims to support businesses of all stages. Attendees will have access to various resources, including panel discussions, financial exhibitors, and networking opportunities.

“I am deeply committed to fostering growth and success for all of Durham’s diverse businesses, especially our minority and women-owned enterprises,” Williams said.

The event will also feature a fireside chat with Williams, U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzman, and Operation HOPE CEO John Hope Bryant.

Registration for this free event is required by Oct. 19.
