Durham residents are being invited to have their voices heard as part of the city’s 2025-2026 budget planning process. This fall, the City of Durham will host a series of Community Conversations where residents can share their funding priorities, which will directly inform the upcoming fiscal year’s budget.

What You Need to Know

The City’s Budget and Management Services Department is organizing these seven in-person events throughout October and November. The feedback collected will be shared with City Council and used during their February budget retreats to help shape decisions for the FY25-26 budget.

Who Can Participate

All Durham residents are encouraged to participate. Attendees aged 16 and over will be eligible for a $50 gift card as a token of appreciation. Free food and beverages will be provided, along with on-site childcare and Spanish interpretation services to make participation as accessible as possible.

Registration

Residents are encouraged to pre-register online for the event of their choice.
