City contractors cleared vital habitat along Third Fork Creek Trail during bird nesting season, threatening pollinators, wildflowers, and other wildlife.

Last week, Ron Sutherland walked his dogs, Ginger and Lacey, down the Third Fork Creek Trail between South Roxboro Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway – and discovered city contractors had cleared out vegetation bordering the paved path.
Not just around the concrete cylindrical sewer access tubes. All around. All of it. Both sides of the trail.
