Early Voting Starts Today in Durham

The 2026 North Carolina primary election early voting period kicks off in Durham today, with decisions ahead for a reshaped Durham Public Schools Board of Education, a successor for U.S. Sen. Thom Tillis, the future of U.S. House District 4, and several judicial seats.

The early voting period runs through Feb. 28:

  • Monday to Friday: 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday (Feb. 14, 21, 28): 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Sunday (Feb. 15, 22): 2 to 6 p.m.

The Durham County Board of Elections offers eight early voting locations, including:
