From South Durham to the Stars: A Creative Side Project You Might Enjoy 🚀

Hi neighbors,

You know me from Southpoint Access - where I report on everything from school board updates and development projects to youth sports and neighborhood news across South Durham.

But when I’m not writing about life in our corner of the Triangle, I’ve been building a very different kind of world - one that’s set centuries in the future.

It’s called OtherSpace MUSH, and it’s a science fiction roleplaying universe I created more than two decades ago. Think of it as an online, interactive novel - a collaborative storytelling experience where players create characters, explore distant planets, and shape the unfolding story together in real time. All through the magic of text.

You don’t need to be a gamer or a sci-fi expert to jump in. OtherSpace is more about creativity and community than anything else - kind of like Southpoint Access, just with more starships.
