Hey, everyone!

No SoDu Shopping Basket this week - hey, we're not going to the grocery store today, are we, and we've still got last week's Thanksgiving baskets to consider. I'm taking the day to relax with the family and maybe watch a little football.

Have no fear, though: I'm still accepting emails and you can submit events to the calendar. I plan to be back at work on Friday, ready to work on preview articles about upcoming meetings of the Durham City Council and Durham Planning Commission.

Southpoint Access: Supporting Hope Valley Elementary PTA

South Durham neighbors: help fund local news and local classrooms.

From now through Dec. 31, 2025, Southpoint Access will share a portion of every revenue stream with the Hope Valley Elementary PTA (HVE PTA):

• 20% of subscriptions (after standard processing fees)
• 10% of donations (after fees)
• 10% of sponsorships (net of documented hard costs)
