Hillside High Leads Durham Schools in Scholarship Dollars
Hillside High School once again leads the way when it comes to scholarships among Durham Public Schools, with students selected to receive a total of more than $26.5 million.
DPS released scholarship funding statistics on Monday as the district prepares to kick off major graduation ceremonies at Cameron Indoor Stadium at Duke University. The district brought in a total of $77.1 million, up $7.6 million compared to last year.
“These Durham Public Schools students personify the term ‘commencement’, as they are well prepared to begin their lives as aspiring young adults who will make tremendous contributions to society,” said Interim Superintendent Catty Moore. “We wish them well.”
