As 2025 draws to a close, we remember 35 members of the Durham community who passed away in recent days. The list includes educators, veterans, pastors, and loved ones of all ages - from Camila Hernandez-Rodriguez, age 9, to Bruce Scotland, 91. Services are scheduled at churches across Durham including St. Matthew Catholic, Lowes Grove Baptist, The Summit, and St. Joseph AME, with several memorials planned into the new year. We honor these lives and offer our condolences to every family in mourning during this reflective season.
