School Bus 628, a Durham Public Schools bus on its way to Hillside High School on Monday afternoon, was involved in a collision with at least three other vehicles on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. between South Roxboro Street and Cook Road. Durham families are remembering residents whose lives spanned generations this week, with services and memorials planned at churches and funeral homes across the Triangle. The list includes longtime community members in their 70s, 80s, and 90s, as well as Master Trooper Steven James Perry, whose funeral will be held March 11 in Cary. Several families have also planned visitations and memorial services in the coming days. Services in the coming days will take place at locations including Bell-Yeager Free Will Baptist Church, St. Joseph AME Church, and Hudson Funeral Home, while several families plan private or future celebrations of life.
