Power Restored to Most After Monday Outage

Only a scattering of homes across South Durham remained without power this morning after last night's Duke Energy outage. Here at the Southpoint Access newsroom (my office area upstairs), we got power back by 11 p.m.

Here's hoping the lights stay on now!

Durham families are remembering more than two dozen community members this week, with services taking place at churches, cemeteries, and funeral homes across the area. Upcoming memorials are scheduled at locations including Epworth United Methodist Church, Holy Cross Catholic Church, and Judea Reform Congregation, while several families have already held services or are planning private remembrances. We share these notices in honor of those who have passed and in support of the loved ones they leave behind.
