Join Me for Local News Day on April 9
Connect at the Southwest Regional Library Branch on Shannon Road and share your vision of neighborhood news in South Durham!

I’d love to meet you at Local News Day on Thursday, April 9 at the Southwest Regional Library, 3605 Shannon Rd.
I’ll be there from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., and I hope you’ll stop by to say hello.
As I continue building Southpoint Access, I want to hear directly from the people this neighborhood newsletter is meant to serve. What kinds of stories do you want to see more often? What information would help you feel more connected and better informed about life in South Durham?
Maybe it’s coverage of schools, traffic, development, local government, small businesses, community events, youth sports, or the people and places that give this area its character. Maybe it’s something I haven’t thought of yet.
That’s why I’d like to hear from you.
This event is a chance for us to talk about what neighborhood news can look like when it reflects the real interests and concerns of the community. If you’ve got ideas, questions, suggestions, or even frustrations about what local news misses, I hope you’ll bring them with you.
I want Southpoint Access to be useful, relevant, and rooted in the community. The best way to make that happen is to listen.
So come by, introduce yourself, and let me know what you’d like to see in a neighborhood newsletter built for South Durham.
