The Korean barbecue chain KPOT, which also has locations in Raleigh and Greensboro, should soon open its doors in Durham.

Work is underway on the interior design of the restaurant’s new spot in the New Hope Commons shopping center at Mt. Moriah Road and Durham-Chapel Hill Boulevard.

KPOT’s menu includes beef, chicken, pork, seafood, and vegetable Korean-style barbecue, as well as hot pots that use bases such as Szechuan spicy soup, Japanese miso, and Thai tom yum soup.

Proceeds support the Durham Promise Scholarship Fund, which benefits at least one senior at each DPS high school.
