[Letter to the Editor] Support Local Food Banks

Dear SoDu Community:

With federal cuts and rising food prices, now is the time to donate to food banks, which will soon be stretched thin. Anything helps. I reached out to Parktown Food Hub (5123 Revere Rd.) and they need the following:

• Canned fruit.
• Boxed pasta and spaghetti.
• Canned tuna.
• Jelly (plastic containers preferred).
• Any shelf-stable items are appreciated.

They have limited open hours:

• Monday, 12 to 4 p.m.
• Wednesday, 12 to 6 p.m.
• Thursday, 12 to 3 p.m.
• And often on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

I know we are all busy and overwhelmed, but please take a moment this week or next to contribute if you can!
