It’s now 2026, which means Disney World in Orlando is officially 55 years old. It opened to the public in 1971. Jump on the wayback machine with me as I share my connection to that esteemed pop culture legacy. Not all the way back to 1971, mind you, but still a good three decades or so. In 1991, I had just graduated from college and was back in my beloved O-Town trying to jump start a career in film and TV.
