My kid is into liminal horror, which seems to be mostly focused on making you feel uneasy with images of abandoned office spaces and deserted hallways. When we’re on vacation, he takes pictures of empty corridors with strange geometric carpet patterns.

I used to think he was into interior design until he showed me some weird videos by Kane Parsons.

Liminal horror led me down a YouTube rabbit hole of existential dread while exploring empty spaces. It's like The Blair Witch Project, but with office furniture. Parsons started with a series of videos when he was a teenager back around 2020. They turned into a viral phenomenon.

Now he has a movie deal and just released his first feature, conveniently titled Backrooms. My kid was really fired up about seeing this movie. It is like his Star Wars
