New Cava Location Opens in Southpoint Area

Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant Cava opened its new location in Renaissance Village today.

It takes over the old Harvest 18 spot, offering salads, pitas, and dips.

"Our mission is to bring heart, health, and humanity to food, and everything we do at Cava is grounded in that spirit of generosity, to our guests, our team members, and our community," said Marc Backer, regional director, in a news release. "We couldn't be more excited to be in Durham."

Before opening day, Cava helped raise funds for the Research Triangle Park location of Food Rescue US, which aims to eliminate hunger and food waste.

The restaurant expects to employ between 25 and 40 people. It's located at 8128 Renaissance Pkwy., No. 114. Hours are 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.
