New Multifamily Project Considered on Page Road

A little more than seven acres of undeveloped land where Page and Chin Page roads connect could become the site of 150 new multifamily residential units in South Durham.

Patrick Byker of Morningstar Law Group, who represents the developer, is hosting a neighborhood meeting to discuss the proposal to rezone from residential rural and commercial center to planned development residential. The property owner is listed as Page Road Investments LLC, whose registered agent is listed as former University of North Carolina professor and Quintiles founder Dennis B. Gillings.

The virtual meeting on Zoom is set for 6 p.m. on June 6.

After Thursday’s meeting, the developer might formally submit a proposal to the City-County Planning Department.
