New South Durham Dunkin' Opens Thursday

The Dunkin’ location at 4823 NC Highway 55 opens its doors to South Durham customers at 5 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7.

The 1,600-square-foot restaurant can seat 20 people and will employ 35 people. It’ll open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The new location offers complimentary wi-fi and technological upgrades, including:

  • A modern design meant to provide an approachable and energetic environment.
  • A tap system that serves eight coffees, iced teas, cold-brew coffee, and nitro-infused, cold-brew coffee.
  • Improved energy efficiency with LED lighting, low-flow faucets, and high-efficiency equipment.
  • Dedicated mobile order pick-up area and digital order status boards.

According to a news release, the first 100 guests on Thursday get free coffee for a year (in-store only).

From 5 to 9 a.m., guests can check out giveaways from the Dunkin’ prize wheel, meet Cuppy the company mascot, hear music from a live DJ, and get face painting for kids.

At 9 a.m., it’ll be time for the official ribbon cutting, after which franchise owner George Ross is expected to present a $4,000 check to the Special Olympics of North Carolina on behalf of the Coastal Franchising network.
