Kids can find fun and educational experiences at The Makery, a new project from the Kidzu Children’s Museum team that’s opening this spring at Boxyard RTP.

The site, geared toward elementary-aged children, tweens, and teens, will allow participants to work with simple materials or 3D printers and robotics to immerse themselves in maker education.

“Since 2006, Kidzu has nurtured the creativity and confidence of children across the Triangle with exhibits and programs that reflect our community’s reach academic and cultural fabric,” said Jamie DeMent Holcomb, Kidzu CXEO, in a news release. “We are excited to expand Kidzu’s reach with the opening of The Makery. Boxyard RTP’s vibrant environment is the ideal place to inspire curiosity, strengthen our community, and connect guests to STEAM learning.”

STEAM learning uses a focus on science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

The Makery will be at 900 Park Offices Drive within Hub RTP.
