No Snow for SoDu This Weekend?
A meteorological "dry spot" apparently left us out of the mix for snow in South Durham this weekend. I've got conflicting feelings about this turn of events.

An Underwhelming Weather Event?
Well, it's Saturday, Jan. 31, and I'd been ready for at least an inch of snow from this latest storm.
As of 9 a.m., the only stuff on the ground outside my house in South Durham is leftover from the last storm. Seems like the "dry spot" parked over us.
That's bad news for my daughter Athena, who wanted to build an army of snow minions. However, while I'm a little disappointed, I'm also a little relieved: we should have school on Monday, right?
But I am worried about folks to the east and west who are getting hammered, possibly with blizzard-like conditions. Stay safe and stay warm, wherever you are.
Editor's Note: So we finally got a bit of snow this afternoon and evening. Beats nothing!
