Power Outage Strikes South Durham
At least 5,000 customers in Woodcroft, Hope Valley area reportedly without power tonight.
Southpoint Access is sharing revenue with Rogers-Herr Middle School Music Boosters until March 31.
Thousands of Duke Energy customers in South Durham (including your neighborhood news guy at Southpoint Access) are without power this evening due to an outage that started around 10 p.m.
According to a message from the power company, the outage was caused when a vehicle struck Duke Energy equipment.
Officials indicated that the outage is expected to last until 2 a.m.
