Woodcroft Parkway is slated for resurfacing this year and until May 1, residents can provide public comment about the project.

The City of Durham has hired design contractors Kittleson & Associates and Three Oaks Engineering to plan the project, which stretches 1.86 miles from Fayetteville Road to Hope Valley Road through the Woodcroft development. During the feedback and design phase, the city may adjust marking designs to add painted bicycle lanes and crosswalks.

The project is funded through the city’s Capital Improvement Plan. Design should be finished by July. Construction would begin sometime this summer and, weather permitting, be completed by November.

Engagement opportunities include:

  • Public comment survey.
  • Interactive web map.
  • Open house on April 17 at Woodcroft’s clubhouse (1203 W. Woodcroft Pkwy.) from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
  • Pop-up event at Durham’s Earth Day Festival on April 21 at Central Park (501 Foster St.) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
