Sheffield Farms Proposal Returns to Planning Commission
A virtual neighborhood meeting about the project is slated for Jan. 8 from 6 to 7 p.m. via Zoom. It then goes to the Planning Commission on Jan. 14.
The Durham Planning Commission is set to once again consider a proposal from M/I Homes to develop about 218 acres west of Farrington Mill Road into hundreds of new houses.
The Sheffield Farms project, originally conceived with a maximum of 950 units is now reduced to 702. A virtual neighborhood meeting about the project is slated for Jan. 8 from 6 to 7 p.m. via Zoom. It then goes to the Planning Commission on Jan. 14.
M/I Homes wants to annex the property into the Durham city limits and rezone from residential rural to planned development residential.
