[SoDu Alert] N.C. Governor Issues Executive Order Protecting Reproductive Rights

Today in Charlotte, Governor Josh Stein announced an executive order aimed at safeguarding women’s reproductive freedoms in North Carolina. The order directs cabinet agencies to protect medical privacy, ensure access to accurate pregnancy information, and shield healthcare providers offering lawful reproductive care from penalties under anti-abortion laws.

“Our state has seen alarming attacks on women’s reproductive rights over the past few years, and I remain committed to doing everything in my power to protect women’s freedoms and their privacy,” Stein said.
