[SoDu Crime Watch] Thefts among vehicles remain elevated
The Oct. 9-15 roundup includes 114 selected incident reports and arrest entries naming two people under our serious-charge screen. Which reports were closest to you?
Southpoint Access counted 114 property and financial incident reports in its coverage area from Oct. 9-15. The reports were tied to 99 address blocks.
That was nine more reports than the 105 counted for Oct. 2-8. Vehicle-related theft remained the largest category, with 48 reports, followed by 21 shoplifting reports.
The increase should not be read as proof that crime rose by the same amount. The revised export added records from earlier dates as well as Oct. 15, illustrating how reports can take several days to appear in the Police-to-Citizen portal.
The roundup also includes arrest entries naming two people whose charges met our serious-charge screen. Those arrest entries are listed separately and are not included in the 114-report total.
