Ground beef got cheaper at three stores in this week’s SoDu Shopping Basket, helping Food Lion reclaim second place and Harris Teeter move ahead of Wegmans.

Aldi remained the least expensive option for the full list of 17 grocery and household staples at $49.12, down 13 cents from last week. The average across all nine stores fell to $66.43 in our Oct. 14 check, a decrease of 52 cents, or about 0.8%, from Oct. 7.
