Where can you stretch your grocery dollars the furthest in South Durham this week? We priced 17 everyday items - from eggs and milk to meat, pasta, and toilet paper - at nine major grocery stores serving the SoDu area.

This week’s SoDu Shopping Basket shows grocery prices eased slightly this week, with the average basket falling to $66.48, down 24 cents from last week’s $66.72. Aldi ($50.75) remains the lowest full-basket total, followed by Walmart ($53.14) and Food Lion ($53.68). Fresh Market ($102.43) is again the most expensive overall, though its total dipped slightly from last week.
