Where can you stretch your grocery dollars the furthest in South Durham this week? We priced 17 everyday items - from eggs and milk to meat, pasta, and toilet paper - at nine major grocery stores serving the SoDu area.
This week’s SoDu Shopping Basket shows South Durham grocery prices dip a bit this week, with the average basket at $64.91. It’s a tight race at the top: Walmart ($52.33) and Target ($52.38) are essentially tied for the cheapest total, with Food Lion ($54.22) close behind. On the high end, Fresh Market ($91.93) remains the priciest basket, followed by Sprouts ($86.81).
