I've been assured by Durham Public Schools officials that - despite my suspicions to the contrary - they cannot specify consequences doled out to a Rogers-Herr Middle School student for a recent social media post featuring a weapon that caused a stir among families.

All they could do was kind of vaguely wave in the direction of the district's rules and regulations for managing behavior, but I haven't heard back whether they classify the incident as a threat/false threat. If they do, that's considered a Level II violation, which could result in in-school interventions, in-school discipline, or short-term suspension.
