South Durham High Schools Celebrate Millions in Scholarship Wins
Leading the pack district-wide is Southern School of Energy and Sustainability, where graduates earned a remarkable $23,022,334 – more than any other high school in the district. Southern’s total alone represents nearly one-third of the entire DPS scholarship amount, a reflection of the school’s growing emphasis on college readiness and career pathway programs.
Durham’s 911 Center Invites Public Input as It Seeks National Re-Accreditation
Through June 21, community members can share their thoughts about the center’s performance and its compliance with CALEA’s rigorous public safety communications standards. A public comment portal is now available on the Durham Emergency Communications Center’s website, and written comments may also be mailed directly to CALEA.
Parks and Rec: What Features Should These Durham Parks Have?
Durham Parks and Recreation plans to replace playgrounds at M0rreene Road Park and Forest Hills Park. Now they’re asking residents to share their preferences for features to include in the new playgrounds.
