Hope Valley PTA Bids Farewell to Principal Miller, Welcomes Officer Slate

Melissa Price-Kromm, one of Hope Valley PTA's co-vice presidents, on Wednesday offered a remembrance of Principal Jed Miller, who left Hope Valley Elementary School in May. He has been succeeded by Ingrid Whitaker.

"Over the years, Mr. Miller has helped shape not just minds but lives," Price-Kromm told the crowd gathered for Wednesday's end-of-the-school-year pizza party. "Thousands of students have walked through these doors and walked out better prepared because of his vision and commitment."

PTA members on Wednesday also voted for a slate of officers, including:

  • President: Jocelyn Dawson.
  • Vice President A: Ofek Devinney.
  • Vice President B: Melissa Price-Kromm.
  • Vice President C: Marty Triggs.
  • Treasurer: Chad Haefle.
  • Secretary: Seth Crabtree.
  • At-Large: Uriel Camacho.
  • At-Large: Mary Taylor.

One more at-large seat will be determined this fall. Email hopevalleypta@gmail.com to be considered.
