NCCU Hosts Courts-Focused Juneteenth Program

Professor Irving Joyner of North Carolina Central University’s School of Law on Thursday is set to moderate a panel discussion during a Juneteenth event on campus called “Honoring Juneteenth in Our Courts.”


[Graduation 2025] Jordan High School Graduates

South Durham Weekly Crime Update – June 18, 2025

Between June 8 and 14, police responded to a series of property and violent crimes across South Durham, according to incident reports.

Durham Police Department officers recorded six residential burglaries and five commercial burglaries, along with 10 motor vehicle break-ins and six stolen vehicles. There were five reports of aggravated assault and three of simple assault, occurring in both residential and commercial areas. Fraud and forgery incidents totaled seven, including one reported cybercrime. Police also responded to three reports of harassment or intimidation, three thefts, and one missing person/runaway case.

Based on information gathered from the LexisNexis Community Crime Map and reports from media outlets and law enforcement agencies.
