Two South Durham restaurants received B grades in the latest batch of health inspections, while another rebounded from an earlier B with the week’s biggest score increase.

The 10 inspections were conducted from Oct. 1 through Oct. 7 at restaurants and convenience-store food operations in ZIP codes 27703, 27707, and 27713. Eight establishments earned A grades, and two received B grades. Scores ranged from 87.5 to 98.5, with an average of 92.9.

Asian Kitchen recorded the biggest improvement, rising 9 points from 81 to 90 and moving from a B to an A. OK Asian Express also improved, gaining 1 point to reach 92. Seven establishments posted lower scores than on their previous inspections, and one stayed the same.

Soul Forking Good received the lowest score in the batch, falling 2.5 points from 90 to 87.5. Thai Star dropped 6 points, from 94 to 88. Both received B grades.

Sheetz #398 posted the week’s highest score, 98.5, unchanged from its previous inspection.
