South Durham Farmers' Market Finds New Home

The South Durham Farmers’ Market makes its debut in a new location on Saturday, July 6, offering fresh produce, meats and dairy products, handcrafted items and more at Hub RTP in Research Triangle Park after years in a strip mall parking lot off NC Highway 55.

New Location Details

  • Address: 500 Park Offices Drive.
  • Market Hours: Saturdays, 8 a.m. to noon (April to October); Winter Hours, 9 a.m. to noon (November to March).

“We are excited to put down roots at Hub RTP and bring our beloved farmers’ market to this innovative and growing community,” said the market’s president, Martie Mangum, in a news release. “The new location offers our loyal customers a fresh and inviting atmosphere and will attract new visitors from across the Triangle area.”

The relocation is part of the market’s expressed strategic plan to enhance accessibility and convenience for patrons, with ample parking, more room for vendors to showcase their products, and room to grow.

“Our goal is to partner with local businesses to create a central hub for community engagement,” says Alisha Josey, placemaking manager for Research Triangle Foundation of NC. “We aim to provide a lively and supportive environment where local farmers and artisans can thrive, and the Triangle community can enjoy fresh, local products.”

Since its founding in 2010, the South Durham Farmers’ Market has been a cornerstone of the Durham community, dedicated to providing fresh, local food and goods directly from qualified farmers, prepared food artisans, craftspeople and producers to consumers.
