[UPDATED: 11/2/24] Southpoint Access Joins Effort to Support Hope Valley Elementary Snack Fund

The Hope Valley Elementary PTA is rallying the community to help ensure that every child at their school receives a nutritious snack each day. To help jumpstart this important effort, Southpoint Access is proud to contribute $250 toward the campaign.

Hope Valley Elementary, a Title I school serving over 550 students, faces challenges in meeting the nutritional needs of its children. While school programs provide meals, a critical gap remains—leaving some students without snacks during the school day. This can have a serious impact on students’ health, cognitive development, and behavior.

Unfortunately, teachers often fill the gap, using their own money to provide snacks for their students. With 25 weeks left in the school year and current PTA funds only covering snacks for a limited time, the school community is reaching out for help.

How the Snack Fund Works

• Donations go directly to the PTA, which will coordinate with volunteers to buy snacks in bulk for the classrooms.
• The goal is to provide daily snacks for every child who needs one for the rest of the school year.
• If the fundraising goal is surpassed, any extra funds will be used for teacher appreciation meals or other school events.

How You Can Help

Every contribution makes a difference!

• $7 – Provides snacks for one classroom for a day.
• $35 – Covers snacks for a classroom for one week.
• $100 – Supports a whole grade level for one week.
• $600 – Provides snacks for the entire school for one week.

The PTA hopes to make sure no child goes hungry while learning, giving every student the chance to focus, grow, and thrive. Southpoint Access is excited to play a small part in supporting this effort, and we encourage others to join in!
