My old Patreon has been quiet for several months, dormant in a digital chrysalis waiting to find out what it’s destined to become.

When it started, it was devoted to my work on OtherSpace MUSH, a sci-fi interactive storytelling game. It evolved beyond that to broader game development and storytelling projects. And now?

Well, now I’ve come full circle. I’m back to where I started in grassroots community news back in 1994. But instead of the suburbs of Tampa, I’m in the heart of South Durham, N.C. And instead of relying on a big metro newspaper to support my ultra-local news efforts, I’m flying the independent flag.

The Patreon is now affiliated with my online news site, Southpoint Access.

I can’t do it alone, though. Not if I want to do it right.
